Tore Up your TO DO LIST (Seriously)
This season is so challenging for all of us either we are working women or staying at home moms. Even we are facing a different set of challenges the emotions are the same…we just want to vanish!
As this is not an option, I have decided to apply this season a new set of rules.
Rule No 1: Tear Up your TO DO LIST!
What? For all the mom or women nerds out there, their TO DO LIST is even superior of the Holy Grail. It’s unthinkable to wake up in the morning and not have a list 3 miles long.
I have done this until very recently when I came across a book that changed my life completely.
The title of the Book is “The One Thing” and I highly recommend you to read it or listen to it.
The basic Idea is to Achieve More by Doing Less! What a relief!
But wait a minute! How this could be possible? I tested the idea and I can tell you that it works wonders.
For moms and working women this can be a very challenging concept to follow as there are so many things we have to do on a daily basis simultaneously.
So, before you abolish the entire concept altogether, I will give you a hint.
You can focus in one important thing for a certain time. For example, I am focusing on my daily cleaning routine from 7:00 am up to 8:30 am. During this time, I am not thinking of anything else. Nothing else matters unless it’s an absolute emergency. By doing that I have saved about half an hour wondering around thinking of all the things I have to do next. The same concept goes during the day.
Our TO DO LIST is not our friend as we thought for so many years. It’s our enemy! It leaves us unfulfilled, drained out and always with the feeling of losing the battle.
Contrary the Success List of focusing on this One Thing at any given time will leave you with feelings of accomplishment, self-worth and fulfillment.
